International Symposium on Sheep, Goat and other non-Cow Milk Athens

The IDF National Committee of Greece, under the auspices of the International Dairy Federation, is going to organize in Athens, Greece, from 16 to 18 May 2011, the IDF International Symposium on Sheep, Goat and other non-Cow Milk.

The overall objective of the Symposium is to provide a renewed vision of knowledge on production, marketing, chemistry, technology, microbiology, processing, as well as the nutritional aspects of sheep, goat, and other non-cow milk to scientists, milk producers, cheese makers and other professionals involved in the dairy sector.

The Programme of the Symposium will consist of four Sessions covering several topics and offers the opportunity for scientists to report on their latest findings in a series of oral and poster presentations. Distinguished specialists will also present major review papers at the start of each session. Complementary to the symposium sessions, Poster sessions will be organized. Moreover, participants will have the chance to visit dairies and farms, as well as the nearby archaeological sites.

The Symposium language will be English. Translation into Greek will be simultaneously provided.
